Through a partnership between Suzuki France and Greg Loaec’s French trail tour company Trail Découverte, the V-Strom 1050 ‘Dark Rally’ was born.
For anyone wondering what a V-Strom with a 21/18-inch wheelset would look like…look no further.
And the mods don’t just stop there. The suspension enjoys greater travel which takes care of one of the big sticking points some people have with the V-Strom.

A heap of SW-Motech parts were also added including among other farkles, engine protection, crash bars, Kobra gearshift protector, Kobra Handrail and a custom seat.
EPIC V-STROM COMES AT A PRICE
The screen is off a DR 800, the battery is lithium, and the tires are Metzeler Karoo Extremes.
The kitted-out V-Strom is available through Suzuki France for about $30,000 including tax. Given that figure, it’s highly unlikely we’d see this available in Australia, but it would be amazing to see this wheelset hooked up to a 1050 XT even that’s the only mod.

DR BIG 1988-1996
