Take a look at the route for the 2022 Dakar Rally in this video preview put together by Red Bull.

Australia has two riders in contention for the win in Toby Price (KTM) and Daniel Sanders (GasGas), but they’ll have to beat a stacked and what seems to be largely injury-free field. And the course this year looks particularly gruelling and tough to navigate which is where so many riders come undone.

The 2022 Dakar Rally will begin on Sunday, 2nd January and ends on Friday, 14th January.

Coverage of each day’s racing will be on SBS television in Australia.
