WEIGHT WATCHERS: what do each of the mid-size adventure bikes weigh in at?

Even for mid-size adventure bikes, weight can be a touchy and divisive subject. For some, it’s the only piece of information worth researching and to others, it’s just another stat.

The truth is a weight figure only tells a fraction of a bike’s story. For example, it doesn’t indicate where that weight sits which is extremely important, nor does it give you any idea whatsoever on what the bike actually feels like when you’re riding it. But it is part of the overall puzzle and an important one at that.

The weights we’ve gathered are all official claimed wet (curb) weights from the manufacturer’s websites. Where the wet weight wasn’t available, we’ve listed the claimed dry weight and also added the fuel tank size on each which offers a decent idea of how much to add to get the wet weight and indicates where a significant portion of the overall weight is sitting.
